Wool & Hoop has expanded from cyberspace to a real space in the lovely little town of Marfa, Texas. So next time you're in the neighborhood, you can visit the Wool & Hoop flagship which is located in old adobe building at 203 E. San Antonio, right next door to Fancy Pony Land, around the corner from JM Dry Goods and across the street from Ballroom Marfa. In addition to carrying all things crewel, our little shop has a variety of sewing notions, fabrics, felts, needlepoint kits and knitting supplies. Classes begin this fall in embroidery, sewing and knitting. Stay tuned.


Australian magazine Homespun features Katherine Shaughnessy of Wool & Hoop as their guest artisan in the October 2008 issue. The article, Whirled Peace, highlights a brand new project by Shaughnessy called "Pinwheel Posy." The pattern and full instructions are included.

Better Homes & Gardens' Creative Home magazine reveals how Shaughnessy's Texas home & studio inspire her crewelwork in Denise Gee's article "Free Range Art," Winter 2007.

Better Homes & Gardens' Holiday Crafts 2007 offers a "Curly Crewel" embroidery project by Wool & Hoop.

Lark Books, a division of Sterling Publishing released Shaughnessy's first book, The New Crewel in November 2005.
